Volunteer Pass

Volunteering your time has many benefits. Now the Department of Forestry can reward you for all of your hard work. For just 10 hours of your time, the VDOF can issue you a free state forest user permit good for one year! While we are still working out our volunteer program and time recording, if you let me or one of our staff know that you are doing volunteer work or organize a volunteer workday, we will gladly reward you for your efforts. We hope to eventually come up with a volunteer program that strongly mimics the state parks, after all they are experts at getting volunteer help to keep Virginia Parks rated at the top nationally. Let me know any ideas you have for local volunteer efforts or workdays. We have plenty of projects to go around!
