The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will take public comment on 66 proposed changes to hunting, fishing and trapping regulations, including a new rule that could result in elk losing their status as a species of special concern. After hearing public comments and reviewing written comments, the Wildlife Commission will meet in March and vote whether or not to adopt the proposed rules.
You can view all the proposed changes and the public hearing process by clicking on this PDF file.
The public can comment online or submit comments by mail to 1701 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-1701. Tomorrow is the deadline for all submission of comments.
