Join Christine Hoyer, volunteer coordinator for the Trails Forever program, for a 3.8 round trip hike to Andrews Bald on Saturday, August 28th. Meet at the Clingmans Dome parking area at 9:00 a.m. Wear good hiking boots, and pack water and a light lunch. As always when you're hiking in the mountains, it's a good idea to bring rain gear as well.Learn about the Trails Forever program and witness firsthand some of the beneficial results of its trail improvement projects. Andrews Bald was one of the first of the park's hiking trails to be improved under this program.
Reservations are required and limited to 20 participants. A fee of $10 per person will be donated to the Trails Forever Endowment. Call 865-436-7318, Ext. 222 or 254 to register by August 25th.
