Wildflower Weekend at Shenandoah National Park

Most people familiar with the Great Smoky Mountains are aware of the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage that takes place every April in the Park. If you can't get enough of the beautiful wildflowers of the Southern Appalachians you can head a little further north for the Wildflower Weekend at Shenandoah National Park the following month.

Wildflower Weekend in Shenandoah will be held on May 8-9 this year. Several hikes, walks and wildflower related programs are scheduled throughout the weekend. More than 1,300 species of plants thrive within Shenandoah National Park.
